Beat Down in Little China: The Return of the Kung Fu Warrior

Kung Fu Warrior was a breath of fresh air when we first played it. It reminded us of the days when games did not focus too much on the graphics but the gameplay instead. While the gameplay in Kung Fu Warrior is not something to write home about, it was effortless and fun, it gave us that nostalgic feeling of playing a classic beat em up game such as Capcom’s Final Fight and Konami’s Double Dragon. While we are waiting for the announcement for Kung Fu Warrior 2, here are some things that we think will make the next game better.

Beat Down 2: What We’d Like to See

Beat Down showed some promise of being a fun, replayable and even cute beatem up title but in the end it fell well short of the standard set by early games like Double Dragon and Streets of Rage 2 which are now available for the iPhone and iPad.

We take a look at what it would take for a sequel to prove a success.

Punch Quest by Rocketcat Games is a fantastic beatem up dash game that has been highly acclaimed. Consult reviews at IGN, Touch Arcade, Slide to Play to name a few to see how well regarded this original smash and dash title is.

At Whack It we would very much like to see Punch Quest 2 made and with that dreamy thought in mind we have some suggestions for improving the game here.
